Executive Board Meeting
Sirs Branch 19
March 6, 2014
Sir Tom Lathrop called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. A quorum was present.
ATTENDANCE: Sir’s in attendance were:, T. Lathrop, L. Kolano, D. Deonigi, K. Kuhn, K. Peterson, G. Garcia, R. Cashion, , J. Fernando, J. Barnaba, B. Persons, D. Williams, B. Stephenson, J. Carl Sr., J. Burton, and Area Governor.
MINUTES: The Executive Board Meeting minutes from February 2014 were approved.
TREASURE’S REPORT: Sir Kuhn reported that total funds in the branch general account are $4,032.96 with an additional $608.05 in the bowling account and $1,138.76 in the Golf account. Motion to accept the report was seconded and approved.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Sir Peterson reported that active membership was 132, during the month one member Pass away. One new member transferred into the Branch. No guests are expected today.
ATTENDANCE REPORT: Sir Cashion reported 17 excused messages and 2 late ones. He ordered 100 meals. The monthly phone charge increased slightly to $29.30.
BIG SIR REPORT: Sir Lathrop reported
Branch assessment from the leadership training looked good except membership growth. But this year is already showing a nice increase. Goals for membership were discussed. BEC agreed to continue current incentives and advertising. To make it easier to recruit new Little Sirs a speaker identification committee was suggested. Big Sir will ask the membership for volunteers.
Branch Audit was completed.
Some Branch A/V equipment will be used along with Oak Hurst equipment. An offer to sell equipment will be made to Oak Hurst. Equipment storage sites at Oak Hurst will also be investigated.
The BEC agreed to not participate in the SIRs Giants Game Day.
Awards for Super Seniors SIRs will be presented to J. Roebuck and J. Hresko by the area governor. Sir Stephenson prepared the letters in nice frames.
The Website format looks much improved, but much of the data needs up dating. Many BEC members agreed to made updates. Sir Mills asked if the Branch would like individual photos of each member to be taken and included in the Website. The BEC agreed to go ahead to with the photo project.
LITTLE SIR REPORT: Sir Kolano reported that today’s speaker would be Matt Maiocco of Comcast Sports. He will speak on 49er news.
ACTIVITIES REPORTS: Golf, Bowling, Wine Tasting, Bocce and Activities are planning to make reports.
