Executive Board Meeting
SIR Branch 19
January 8, 2015
Sir Larry Kolano called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. A quorum was present.
ATTENDANCE: Sir’s in attendance were: L. Kolano, B. Persons, D. Deonigi, K. Kuhn, K. Peterson, R. Cashion, J. Fernando, J. Barnaba, J. Duncan, L. Silberman, D. Diamond, B. Stephenson, J. Carl Sr., J. Burton, and M. Mills.
MINUTES: The Executive Board Meeting minutes from November 2014 were approved.
TREASURE’S REPORT: Sir Kuhn reported that total funds in the branch general account are $4,702.24 with an additional $621.69 in the bowling account and $2,455.40 in the Golf account. Motion to accept the report was seconded and approved. The Branch fund increased by $517 over the year. The luncheon price increase of 4% this year can be handled with the current $23 charge.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Sir Peterson reported that membership was 131 with 4 inactive. Two new member will be inducted today. One guest is expected today. The four inactive members will be dropped from the Branch next month.
ATTENDANCE REPORT: Sir Cashion reported received 4 messages from the old hot line and 21 messages for the new number. Six were not excused. Sir J. Babjar resigned from the Branch.
BIG SIR REPORT: Sir Kolano reported
- The 2015 SIR Leaders Guide was provided to each BEC member.
SIR of the Year voting was held.
- BEC all agreed to work on reducing the chat during speaker presentations.
- Newsletter team will begin working toward a Web based letter with the return of Sir Mills. Sir Mills will be our March speaker to highlight the change.
- Sir Duncan agreed to become the Sunshine Chairman.
LITTLE SIR REPORT: Sir Persons reported that today’s speaker would be our own Sir George Fulmore on “The Next America”. Next month the speaker will be someone from the Pioneer Newspaper.
ACTIVITIES REPORTS: Golf, Bowling and Dining Out are planning to make reports to the membership.
