Executive Board Meeting
SIR Branch 19
February 5, 2015

Sir Larry Kolano called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. A quorum was present.

ATTENDANCE:   Sir’s in attendance were: L. Kolano, B. Persons, D. Deonigi, K. Kuhn, K. Peterson, R. Cashion, J. Fernando, J. Barnaba, L. Silberman, D. Diamond, J. Carl Sr., J. Burton, and M. Mills. Sir Bill Schoonover attended representing the Audit Committee.

MINUTES: The Executive Board Meeting minutes from January 2015 were approved.

TREASURE’S REPORT: Sir Kuhn reported that total funds in the branch general account are $4,479.88 with an additional $621.71 in the bowling account and $547.49 in the Golf account.  Motion to accept the report was seconded and approved.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Sir Peterson reported that membership was 126 with 4 inactive. During the month two members resigned and one transferred. Three guests are expected today.

ATTENDANCE REPORT: Sir Cashion reported received 14 messages from the new hot line and 4 messages for the old number. Eight were excused. Sir J. Moriana asked to be re-instated.

BIG SIR REPORT: Sir Kolano reported

  1. SIR of the Year will be presented at the membership meeting today.
  2. Audit report completed. Sir Kuhn explained the special nature of the golf and bowling accounts.     The report was accepted.
  3. Area 2 Meeting was focused on business like issues, like specific goals. Branch 8 offered lists of persons over 55 in Martinez and Clayton. “Year of the One” theme was described. A discussion about the maximum capacity of the Oak Hurst facility and reasonable table spacing as the upper limit of membership goal.
  4. Nominating Committee is focused on the Little SIR position.

LITTLE SIR REPORT: Sir Persons reported that today’s speaker would be our own Sir Mike Mills.   He will describe the current Branch Web site.


Activities chairman provided a list of Branch 13 activities to Area 2.
Bocce, is planning to make a report.
Dining Out will be at La Veranda
Sunshine report will be by Sir Persons today.
