Executive Board Meeting

SIR Branch 19

March 5, 2015

Sir Bruce Persons called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. A quorum was present.

ATTENDANCE:   Sir’s in attendance were: B. Persons, D. Deonigi, K. Kuhn, K. Peterson, R. Cashion, J. Fernando, J. Barnaba, J. Duncan, J. Wolfe, D. Williams, B. Silberman, D. Diamond, B. Stephenson, J. Carl Sr., J. Burton, and M. Mills.

Big Sir introduced Regional Director Dick De Voe. Sir De Voe stated that Sir Ed Benson is our new Area Governor. He went on to describe efforts to identify why Branches fail. He expressed concern over Branch 19’s lack of growth and low membership relative to nearby Branches. He was impressed with our Branch low average age and high meeting attendance.

MINUTES: The Executive Board Meeting minutes from February 2014 were approved with attendance corrections.

TREASURE’S REPORT: Sir Kuhn reported that total funds in the branch general account are $4,659.40 with an additional $621.73 in the bowling account and $1,015.52 in the Golf account. Motion to accept the report was seconded and approved.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Sir Peterson reported that active membership was 127 with 1 inactive. During the meeting two new members will be inducted. Two guests are expected today.

ATTENDANCE REPORT: Sir Cashion reported received 23 messages from the new hot line. The old Hot line was shut down. Two calls were late and not excused.

BIG SIR REPORT: Sir Persons reported

  1. Invite cards will be placed at each luncheon table today.
  2. Congratulation to Sir Burton as SIR of the Year.
  3. Insurance statement and list of activities will be recorded next month.

LITTLE SIR REPORT: Sir Persons reported that today’s speaker would be Tamara Steiner, edition of the Clayton Pioneer and Concord Pioneer.

COMMITTEE / ACTIVITIES REPORTS: Golf, Bowling and Activities are planning to make reports.

Nominations Committee – still working on Little Sir position.

Newsletter – facility to email to members added

Dining Out – at Tahoe Joe
