Executive Board Meeting
SIR Branch 19
August 6, 2015

Sir Larry Kolano called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. A quorum was present.

ATTENDANCE: Sir’s in attendance were: L. Kolano, D. Deonigi, K. Kuhn, K. Peterson, R. Cashion, J. Barnaba, J. Duncan, B. Silberman, D. Diamond, J. Carl Sr., M. Mills and R. Peterson.

MINUTES: The Executive Board Meeting minutes from July 2015 were approved.

TREASURE’S REPORT: Sir Kuhn reported that total funds in the branch general account are $4,281.50 with an additional $621.83 in the bowling account and $2,248.00 in the Golf account. Motion to accept the report was seconded and approved.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Sir Peterson reported that membership was 127 with 2 inactive. Two guests are expected today.

ATTENDANCE REPORT: Sir Cashion reported received 37 messages from the hot line. Three call were late.

BIG SIR REPORT: Sir Kolano reported
A. At State meeting issues with IRS status has been questioned, but continues tax exempt status is expected. Branch 19 was in the top 25 branches with highest membership growth.
B. Web site use is up with most hits about the picnic.
C. Life membership for Sir Stephenson was approved.
D. Sir B. Theobald was elected as new travel chairman. He suggested an SF Walking tour.
E. Requesting Clayton choir again for Christmas luncheon was approved.
F. Training for new Branch officers will take place on October 2nd.
G. SIR business card will again be placed at luncheon tables.

LITTLE SIR REPORT: Sir Kolano reported that today’s speaker would be Vincent Martinez an Emergency Planner for Contra Costa County.
A desk at a September 19 fair will be staffed by Little Sir.

Picnic signup have started. Five couples signed up to date.
Bowling season is just starting.
Golf Match Play semifinals next week.
Dining Out will be at La Veranda
Day trip to the USS Hornet will be on October 15.
