Executive Board Meeting

October 2, 2015
Sir Larry Kolano called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. A quorum was present.
ATTENDANCE: Sir’s in attendance were: L. Kolano, B. Persons, D. Deonigi, K. Peterson, J. Fernando, J. Barnaba, J. Wolfe, B. Silberman, D. Diamond, J. Carl Sr., J. Burton, and R. Peterson.
GUEST INTRODUCTIONS: Don Dill (SIR VP & Pres-elect) and Dick DeVoe (Regional Director)
MINUTES: The Executive Board Meeting minutes from September 2015 were approved.
TREASURE’S REPORT: Sir Kuhn was absent. No report was made.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Sir Peterson was absent. No membership report was made.
ATTENDANCE REPORT: Sir Cashion was absent. No attendance report was made.
ACTIVITIES REPORT: Sir Kolano
Picnic was well attended (60) with good weather and food.
Christmas luncheon- Sir Barnaba will work with Oakhurst on the menu.
Bocce into playoffs for three of our four teams.
Golf NCGA membership next month. Coed partners will be included.
Dining out will be at MiMi’s on October 22.
Travel to the USS Hornet is set for October 15th. “Summer of love” signup is now at 13 with a maximum of 20.
BIG SIR REPORT: Sir Kolano reported that Sir Dill is here to present the HLM to Sir Stephenson. Sir Dill open a discussion on membership development. He suggested we do exit interviews to get a better handle on “why members leave”.
A. The Oakhurst contract is coming up for renewal. Sir Barnaba and Little Sir will meet with Oakhurst.
LITTLE SIR REPORT: Sir Persons reported that today’s speaker would be the Concord Chief of Police, Guy Swanger.
A. The Senior Information Fair mostly drew interest for wives, but no new guests.
B. A plan to recruit at the Concord In Shape was proposed. Sir Theobald will work out details.
