Pickleball Activity

Seven of us in our SIR branch just kicked off our new Pickleball activity at
the new courts at Willow Pass Park in Concord. Despite the “iffy” weather
that morning several brave souls were able to finish up the day’s pickleball
lesson and get in several games on the courts before the rain started.

Our branch’s new pickleball open play takes place every Thursday morning at
the Willow Pass Courts in Concord from 10am – Noon. Any interested SIR
members (and spouses) can attend.

All participants are also encouraged to download the “Meet Up” app on their
smart phones to register for open play and also be able to see who else will
be playing that day.

For the time being paddles and balls are available for use at no cost at the
Willow Pass Pickleball Court’s manager’s office in the park. Court usage is
also free.

Beginner pickleball lesson packages are also available at a reasonable cost
from qualified pickleball instructors.

Come on out and enjoy one of the fastest growing senior sports in the
country today!
